From restaurant floors to a CS degree.
I'm Juan Adams, a software engineer based in Orlando, Florida.
I've worked restaurant floors at Southwest Grill, Steak 'n Shake and now Chipotle, where I learned to move fast, stay calm and take care of people. In 2026 I earned my B.S. in Computer Science from Full Sail University.
Right now I'm building SPAI, a Vision Pro assistant for sterile processing, and starting to share my work on video as Juan Builds Tech. Next: a role where I can build technology that helps people.
Not for riches. Not because it's possible. Because it helps.
I want to spend my career building medical and computing technology that moves the whole industry forward for the good of people.
How I work
The same four steps run through every project, from a vision model to an NFC reader.
- 01
Start with the person
Before any code, I figure out who is on the other side: a sterile processing tech, a student tapping in, a kid photographing a turtle.
- 02
Make it work end to end
I get a rough version working all the way through early, like TouchPoint's first tap landing in the database.
- 03
Measure it
Precision, recall, a test that passes. I want numbers that tell me whether it really works.
- 04
Ship it and show it
I document as I go and share what I build in public on Juan Builds Tech.
